Figure Skating
& Learning!

Hi! My favorite thing to do is flying around on the ice and discovering new things every day! Come explore my favorite tips, tricks, and fun facts about skating!

Let's Explore!

❤️My Favorite Skating Moves❤️

🐢

Turtle Spin

I love fancy things that look so cool! Spinning on one foot is all about balance and lots of practice, especily when it's tucked behind your other leg!

🐇

The Salchow

Leaping into the air and landing on one foot. The Salchow is the most exciting jump in figure skating that I know! Especily when it's in a toe-loop/salchow combo!

The Spiral

Gliding on one leg with the other stretched way up high feels so awe-inspiring — just like a graceful bird in flight!

🎶

Choreography

Skating to music, matching every glide and step to the beat. It's like a dance performed on ice!

Science on Ice

Spins use physics! Pulling your arms in makes you spin faster (sometimes out of control) — this is called angular momentum. Thank you science!

World Champions

Skaters come from all over the world. Learning where they are from is a fun way to explore geography and different cultures!

History of Ice Skating

People have skated for over 3,000 years! Ancient skaters used bone blades tied to their feet instead of metal ones. Sadly, back then figure skating had no jumps, or spins.
